CLASSIFICATION: DOC - Colli Orientali del Friuli.
SOIL: ponca (eocenic marl).
AGE OF VINES: 20/30 years old.
BREEDING SYSTEM: Guyot.
HARVEST: manually, in boxes, in September.
WINEMAKING: delicate stripping of the grapes, fermentation on the skins for 8/10 hours. Then a delicate pressing is carried out in order to separate the must from the grapes' skin. The fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks and it is followed by a refinement of 6 months. Then, after many decantings, the wine is bottled. The aging process is complete after 2 more months in the bottle.
COLOUR: brilliant straw yellow.
AROMA: wildflowers and sweet almond.
TASTE: dry, with sensations of almond, apricot and apple.
AGING POTENTIAL: 2/3 years.
SERVING SUGGESTIONS: very well as an appetizer with ham. Excellent with soups and fish.
SERVING TEMPERATURE: 53°F.
